Ciphers have been used as a way of secretly passing on a message from one person to another. Ciphers can be broken with the help of independent studies and computer programs, but there are ciphers that cannot be translated character by character or word by word.
1. Voynich Manuscript
The Voynich Manuscript is a book written in the 1400s by an unknown author that used an unknown ciphered language. Inside the book, it contains over 209 pages of unidentified letters and beautifully colored pictures. The illustrations range from botany to astronomical records for an unspecified period of time. Why the author wrote about the Voynich Manuscript still remains a mystery to this day.

Well it is Saturday and first off, I would express the grievances that people currently have to undergo in the East Coast. Clouds of Thoughts staff would like to wish them luck in getting past Hurricane Irene.
In other news, don’t get fooled by a weatherman like this one:
Unless the weather proves to be reality such as the morning glory clouds in Australia:
or maybe things about weather are in fact mysterious:
So apparently there has been two earthquakes in the USA that are both over magnitude 5.0. You may think it occurred in California, but what is weird about these two earthquakes happened in Virginia and Colorado!
Luckily in the Colorado Earthquake, it happened in a rural county with less than 1,000 people according to the New York Times.
“The quake, with a preliminary magnitude of 5.3, was centered about nine miles from the city of Trinidad and hit at 11:46 p.m. local time. It was felt as far away as Greeley, about 350 miles north, and into Kansas and New Mexico, said Julie Dutton, a geophysicist at the National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo.”
But in the meantime, the Virginia Earthquake happened to occur in a much densely populated area. As a result, people evacuated from skyscrapers and government offices and even Capital Hill and the Pentagon! Here are some pictures that I found on the internet:
